DriveSol Worldwide is a customer-driven company and understands how fast the needs of our customers are changing. The company manufacturers over 4.4 million electronic throttle control pedal units (ETCs) per year in North America, Europe and Japan, offering both contact and non-contact ETC technology. In addition, DriveSol provides over 5 million fixed pedal assemblies, which combine the brake, clutch, and ETC pedal in one unit, and over 920 adjustable pedal assemblies. Over 4 million steering column products are produced for cars, SUVs, light and heavy-duty trucks.

We have undertaken a corporate culture that is focused on people and a leaner organization with the desire to “go faster” for our customers. ENGINEERING

At DriveSol this “Computer-Aided Engineering” know-how includes:

• In-house FEA using special mechanical software for static and dynamic stress analysis, motion, vibration and thermal analysis.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

Working with speed to deliver on a timely basis is the key ingredient that automotive manufacturers look for in their top suppliers. At DriveSol we have implemented systems that enhance this capability and provide effective project management.

• We can launch over 100 new part numbers each year.
• Our systems and processes are chaired at the executive level.
• We ensure on-time delivery of prototype and production assemblies to our customers.
• Five phase program management system utilizes concept phase, prototype phase, pre-production phase, production phase and continuous improvement.

PROTOTYPES

Automotive manufacturers today need prototypes developed fast. DriveSol has the current technology available that permits us respond to that need with speed and high quality.

• All our manufacturing facilities have dedicated prototype operations.
• The majority of prototypes are produced at the plant level. Capabilities include:
  • Assembly of parts/mock-up construction.
  • Design verification models.

FACILITIES TEST LAB

DriveSol works closely with OEM’s to design and develop new component and system test specifications and requirements. Our extensive global test laboratories are located in Troy, Michigan: Dalstorp, Sweden; Chonquing, China enable us to provide high level systems integration on a worldwide basis. Including:

• Simulation of specified cycle sequencing for major component interfacing of the throttle body, pedal, reaction brackets, etc.
• Measurement and analysis capability for cycle, stress loads, noise, shock, vibration, lash, efficiency, compliance,installation and removal loads.
